Minimalist Tattoo Ireland
Small, simple tattoos: symbols, short words and outlines with few decorative details.
Scale and spacing in minimalist tattoos
Minimalist tattoos suit people who want a small, understated design. Simple pieces still need enough size and spacing for their details.
In a tiny symbol, short word or simple outline, each line forms part of the main shape.
What minimalist tattoos suit
Minimalist work suits short script, tiny symbols, single-line ideas, coordinates, small florals, simple memorial marks and first tattoos where the design should stay understated. If the idea needs to be shaped from references, start with custom tattoo design.
Use the portfolio to judge line quality and spacing that has room to settle. The style pages are useful if you're choosing between minimalist, fine line and lettering work.
How small can the design be?
The minimum size depends on the detail and placement. I will suggest more space if the lettering is cramped or several symbols crowd each other. One word or symbol can carry a personal meaning without adding more elements.
