I'm Milly, the founder and tattoo artist at Milly Tattoo, my private, appointment-only studio in Birr, Co. Offaly. I've been tattooing full time since 2011.
I work with one client at a time, from the first conversation and design through to the finished tattoo and aftercare. I focus on custom tattoos, cover-ups and reworks, realism, fine line, black and grey, and colour.
Before tattooing, I trained in jewellery and spent years drawing and painting. That experience taught me to pay attention to small details and how a design fits together.
I still paint in oils, mainly on watercolour paper. Painting helps me work with light and shade, whether I'm drawing a portrait or planning a tattoo around an older piece.
You don't need to arrive with a finished design. Send me your idea, a few pictures, a word or a personal memory, and I'll help turn it into a tattoo that suits you.
I'll give you an honest opinion on size, placement and design, especially when an old tattoo needs to be covered or reworked.
