Fine Line
A central underbust tattoo can look level against clothing and still sit wrongly on the body. I placed this stencil while the client stood in a relaxed position and used the body, not the edge of a top, as the guide. The bird sits below a round halo, and its wings spread across the upper stomach with open gaps between the feather lines.
The tattoo took one three-hour session. Soft grey shading gives the wings shape without making the Fine Line work heavy. I checked the centre again before starting because this skin moves when a person sits, bends or lifts their arms. The final width came from that standing check, not from a fixed template.
