The short answer
A half sleeve is priced as a project, not from a fixed list. My Custom Tattoo work starts from €150, and a Full Day Session starts from €600 for six to seven hours of studio time, including breaks and up to five hours of tattooing. A half sleeve may need more than one session, so I quote after I see the arm, coverage and design.
I don't have one fixed price for a half sleeve. Before I give an estimate, I need to see the arm and understand the design. Size, how far it wraps, detail, colour and old tattoos can all change the amount of work. Clear photos and a few useful references help me give a price for the real project instead of guessing from the words “half sleeve”.
My current Full Day Session starts from €600. It reserves 6 to 7 hours of studio time, including breaks and up to 5 hours of tattooing, and needs a consultation first. This is one session option, not the price of every half sleeve. It also doesn't mean that every half sleeve can be finished in one day. My tattoo pricing guide explains the rest of my studio prices.
What half sleeve means for the price
People use “half sleeve” for different parts of the arm. It can mean shoulder to elbow, elbow to wrist, or only the outside of the upper arm. Some designs wrap around the whole arm. Others leave the inside open. These projects do not take the same amount of time.
Tell me where you want the tattoo to start and finish. I also need to know if it should cover the inner arm, elbow or elbow ditch. My sleeve tattoo ideas guide explains how I plan the full design. For the estimate, I first need to know the exact area.
More coverage usually means more work
Two half sleeves can look similar in one photo but cover very different areas. The outside of the upper arm covers less skin than a full wrap. Moving onto the shoulder, inner arm or below the elbow covers more skin and can make the drawing harder to plan.
I price the area I'll tattoo, not the name of the project. Please send photos of the whole arm, not only a close-up. Rough measurements are useful too. Tell me if you may add a full sleeve later. I can then finish the first part neatly without filling the area needed for the next part.
Design, detail and colour affect the time
Large clear shapes with some open skin can take less time than many small details. Fine textures, Realism, repeated patterns and a heavy background can add drawing and tattooing time. Colour may need more planning and more passes over the area. Black and grey can also take a long time when the design is dense.
I also check how the picture turns around the arm. The main part should look clear from the chosen side, and the smaller parts should join it naturally. Old tattoos may limit the size or position. You can use my portfolio to show the type of line, contrast or layout you like. I won't copy another person’s finished tattoo or price your project from one photo of their arm.
Full Day Session is an option, not a project price

The current starting price is €600 for 6 to 7 hours after consultation. Your project may suit this format, shorter sessions or more than one visit. I'll explain the likely plan after I see the arm and design. I give the estimate only after you approve what the half sleeve must include.
One long session or several visits
Some half sleeves may suit one long session. Others are easier to divide into clear stages. I may start with the main lines and large shapes, then finish smaller detail, shading or colour at another visit. The best plan depends on the design and on how much of the arm it covers.
I decide this after I have seen the arm, old tattoos and final idea. The plan can change if the design grows or the edge moves. I'll tell you what I expect to do in each session and what I still cannot know. I can give an honest estimate, but I can't promise an exact finishing time before the design is ready.
What to send for an estimate
Please send enough information for me to see the whole job. It saves time and helps me give a useful answer. I need:
- Clear daylight photos of the full arm from the front, side and back.
- Marks or a short note showing where the tattoo should start and finish.
- Rough height and width of the largest part of the planned tattoo.
- References for the subject, style and mood you like.
- Your colour choice: colour, black and grey, or undecided.
- Close photos of old tattoos and wider photos of the skin around them.
- The details that must stay and the details you're willing to simplify.
References show me what you like, but they are not enough for a price on their own. I still need to check what fits the arm, what I need to redraw and how much detail will stay clear at the planned size.
From estimate to booking
When I know the area and design, I can suggest a session plan and prepare your estimate. I'll also explain what could still change the price. This matters when the idea is not final or an old tattoo affects the new work. The estimate should match your half sleeve, not a general average price from the internet.
Use my booking form to send the arm photos, references, placement, rough size and colour choice in one message. You do not need a finished design. I only need clear information about what you want. Then I can tell you whether a consultation or booking should come next.
