Starry Bull Tattoo

The crescent had to read as the bull's horns before the stars and clouds drew the eye away. I kept the face friendly, used a clear black outline around the pink body and placed the darker shading under the head and belly. The blue clouds stay soft enough to act as background rather than another subject.

The small white dots break up the larger colour areas and carry the night-sky idea across the body. I completed the tattoo in one five-hour session. This is the fresh result from the end of that appointment, before the skin had healed.
