Realism
A robin sits between pink magnolia flowers on the leg just above the knee. The warm orange breast leads the colour, while the softer brown feathers, green leaves and open pink petals keep the bird settled inside the branch rather than floating on its own.
The tattoo was completed in one four-hour session. I left clear skin between the bird and the flowers so every part remains easy to read. The photograph shows the colour in ordinary light without a polarising filter or boosted contrast.
