Realism
The long, narrow forearm needed a clear order. I kept the monk in the middle, put the round lotus near the wrist and sent the palm leaves towards the wider space by the elbow. Realism carries the face, hands and robe. Softer Dotwork adds shade around the figure without swallowing those details.
The tattoo took three sessions and 12 hours in total. I made the monk large enough to read when the arm rests by the body, then used the lotus and leaves to fit the changing width of the forearm. Front and turned views mattered here because the whole scene can't be judged from one flat photograph.
