Realism
A colour portrait of John Lennon framed as a coin, with his round glasses, softly shaded hair and warm tones through the face. The words "Living is easy with eyes closed" follow the circular border around the portrait.
I placed this small (S) tattoo on the upper arm, just below the shoulder, combining realistic portrait detail with lettering around the rim. The work was completed in one four-hour session.
