Geometric
The wolf's face stays at the centre, while broken geometric shapes open around the fur instead of forming a hard frame. Black and grey shading gives the muzzle and eyes enough depth, and the sharper lines around it keep the design moving across the upper arm.
It was completed in one 2.5-hour session. I kept the darkest areas around the eyes and nose, so the expression still reads before the smaller fur detail. The photo shows the tattoo fresh.
